ADDABBO GETS AWARD FROM AAMUS DURING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

Senator's Work with Latino Community Is Cited
Queens, NY, October 15, 2012 – On Sunday evening, October 14, NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach), received an award from The Association of Mutual Help Unity and Solidarity, Inc. (AAMUS) during Hispanic Heritage Month for his work with the Latino community. AAMUS is a nonprofit organization created to assist individuals with counseling, educational training and community integration.
Senator Addabbo, along with Assemblyman Mike Miller and the 102nd and 106th police precincts, recently took part in a public forum sponsored by AAMUS that focused on public safety and the perception of rising crime within the Latino neighborhoods in his 15th Senate District.
