Addabbo, Jr., NYS Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, presided at a check presentation in the amount of $25,000 to the West Hamilton Beach Fire Department and Ambulance Corps. The West Hamilton Beach Volunteer Fire Dept. & Ambulance Corps lost three fire trucks, two ambulances and life-saving equipment to Hurricane Sandy flooding (jaws of life Hurst tools; defibrillators, oxygen equipment). The management of Duane Reade/Walgreen’s in Howard Beach donated to the vollies to replace the ambulance equipment and gear for the firefighters and EMTs.
