RIT Announces Center for Urban Entrepreneurship

Earlier today, I had the privilege to attend a press conference where RIT. announced that will open a new Center for Urban Entrepreneurship in Downtown Rochester. RIT received the building at 40 Franklin Street, the former Rochester Savings Bank, through a donation from Rochester Historic Ventures. The university estimates it will cost about $1.2 million in capital improvements to refurbish parts of the building. Another $2-$4 million will be needed to prepare the building for programmatic needs. The anticipated opening of the center is fall 2013.
