Senator Malcolm A. Smith Photo of the Week

Renowned Actor Danny Glover presented Senator Malcolm A. Smith with the Historic Leadership Award at the Boys & Girls Club of Mt. Vernon 100th Anniversary Celebration. Smith was tapped for the honor by his longtime friend and former college roommate Denzel Washington  in recognition of his having served as the first African American Majority Leader and President of the New York State Senate and for reforming the Senate to a more fair and transparent legislative body.
