Leandra's Legacy
Martin Malavé Dilan
January 25, 2012
Senator Dilan is presented an award by the Lewis Henry Morgan Institute for his work with Lenny Rosado on the passage of Leandra's Law. The law strengthens penalties on those convicted of driving while intoxicated with child passengers.
The law is named after 11-year-old Leandra Rosado, Lenny's daughter, who tragically died in 2009 when the car she was riding in crashed. The driver was intoxicated.
