3/14/2012: AARP Lobby Day

On Wednesday March 14, 2012 constituents of Senator Huntley who are members of AARP traveled to the capitol to discuss several pressing issues with her.  These issues included funding for the Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) program and opposition toward the creation of Tier VI.  Senator Huntley explained to her constituents that funding for EPIC was a main priority for her and that she supports unions.  Hundreds of AARP members converged on the capitol that day for their annual lobby day and spoke with their local elected official about concerns that senior had.
