Dear Participant:
Thank you for your interest in and contribution to the New York State Senate’s 2012 Earth Day Poster Celebration.
The Senate received hundreds of outstanding posters from across the State of New York, and I’m extremely proud that our 53rd Senatorial District has been so well represented by the work of you and your classmates, and other concerned young people from throughout the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions.
Each of our local entries, including yours, displayed tremendous originality and vision, as well as admirable concern for the ecological future of our communities, our state and our nation.
I can’t say enough about how impressed I have been by your efforts, and I can’t do enough to encourage you to continue studying and learning more about the serious challenges facing our environment and the quality of our communities.
Once again, congratulations and thank you for participating in this year’s Earth Day Poster Contest.
I’ll also take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to your family and, of course, to your teachers whose dedication and involvement provide the encouragement that contributes so much to your success.
Sincerely,
Senator Thomas F. O’Mara, 53rd District
