Albany, N.Y., June 21—State Senator Tom O’Mara (R-C, Big Flats) recently welcomed two area veterans’ services leaders to the historic Senate Chamber on Women Veterans Recognition Day in Albany.
“Amy and Joan served our nation bravely and courageously and continue their service to this very day through their extraordinary commitment to the well-being of our local veterans,” said Senator O’Mara. “I appreciated this opportunity to express our admiration and gratitude for the difference they’re making in so many lives.”
In the photo, Senator O’Mara is joined on the Senate rostrum by Amy E. Kelly of Bath (l.), a 15-year Air Force veteran who currently serves as a Service Officer at the Steuben County Veterans Service Agency, and Joan E. Scott, Director of the Schuyler County Veterans Service Agency and a 12-year veteran of the United States Army.
