On Saturday, December 7th, Senator Stewart-Cousins spoke at the African American Men of Westchester's Annual Domestic Violence workshop in White Plains. The Seminar brought about 75 young men from Westchester together to increase awareness about domestic violence, take part in confidence-building exercises and learn how to identify stereotypes of women and men. Senator Stewart-Cousins praised the participants for attending and encouraged them to act as ambassadors to their friends in order to help end the cycle of domestic violence.
