Luther V. Garrison Sr. Masonic Foundation Inc. Scholarship Luncheon

On Saturday, November 30th, Senator Stewart-Cousins had the honor of rewarding students entering college the Luther V. Garrison Scholarship at the annual luncheon hosted at the Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers, NY. The LVG Scholarship program "is designed to assist with students' necessities, and instill the confidence to stay in school". This year's scholarship recipients included Ms. Samatha Brown (pictured above), Councilman Chris Johnson (Father of Chavay Dickerson Scholarship), Mr. Kasaad Mayo, Mr. Donald Lee, Mr. Dennis Richmond. Ms. Jessie Grant-Robertson received the Community Award and Ms. Audrey Smith received the "Woman of the Year 2013" Award.
