Senator Stewart-Cousins broke ground at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, kicking off the expansion project of the company's corporate headquarters and laboratories in Westchester County. New York State contributed $8.5 million in tax credits through the Excelsior Jobs Program to make this expansion possible.
The expansion will add two new buildings of lab and office space to the Regeneron Complex at the Landmark of Eastview and enable the company to accommodate the rapid growth it has experienced over the last six years. It will also create more than 400 new high-skill jobs in the area. The construction is anticipated to be completed in late 2015. Regeneron is a world leader in biopharmaceutical research and development. It is New York State’s largest biotech company and was recently voted the world's #1 biopharmaceutical employer for the second year in a row by Science Magazine, and Biotech Company of the Year by Scrip Intelligence in 2012
