On Wednesday, November 6th, Seely Place Elementary School in Edgemont participated in The History Channel's "Take A Vet To School Day", a national program that encourages communities and schools to invite veterans of all backgrounds to share their stories and receive thanks for their service on or around Veterans Day. At this event, Senator Stewart-Cousins spoke to a group of over 400 elementary school children about her father and brother's WWII and Vietnam War experiences and the importance of honoring veterans because of the vital roles they play in defending our nation.
