Senator Young presents a proclamation to Mike & Kelly Rapan honoring Mike’s father William, recognizing his 46 years of service to the Bolivar Fire Department. Mr. Rapan passed away in November.
Mr. Rapan was an active member of the Bolivar Fire Department from September 1966 until his passing. During this time, he held many offices, including Foreman, Vice President and President of the Bolivar Fire Department.
Throughout his life, he was committed to providing assistance to others, serving as Captain of the ambulance squad of the Bolivar Fire Department, an instructor for the American Red Cross and a volunteer driver for the Allegany County Office for the Aging and the Allegany County Meals on Wheels program. He also was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in Bolivar.
Mr. Rapan’s dedication and love for the community are truly missed.
