Senator Young recognizes Jack Knowlton for his 50 years of dedicated service to the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Company

Senator Young recognized Jack Knowlton for his 50 years of dedicated service to the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Company during their annual banquet and presented him with a New York State Senate Proclamation. Mr. Knowlton is currently serving as the department’s President and was also a top ten responder with 421 calls in 2012.
During his time with the Fire Company, Mr. Knowlton has held many offices, including serving as Chief over multiple years. He also has taken on roles including Assistant Chief, Captain, Lieutenant and Drill Instructor. He currently serves as Safety Officer and was elected to serve as President.
Jack Knowlton’s dedication to the fire service includes his involvement on several county fire committees. He is the current President of the Fire Advisory Board and a member of the Radio Committee. He also previously served as President of the County Chiefs Association, was a Heavy Rescue Instructor, and held the role of 3rd Battalion Coordinator for 22 years.
