Senator Young recently toured the high school at Pioneer Central School District to view some of the new learning experiences for the students. The district, which includes parts of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Erie and Wyoming Counties, has expanded its offerings past the traditional courses, adding programs that teach aquaculture, engine and tractor repair and introductions into specialized fields like the maple industry. The common thread is that all of these are industries that produce employment opportunities in the area.
