Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Brooklyn woman who has not been seen since Saturday. Investigators say Sabrina Malone, 27, has never been in any trouble before.
According to investigators, Malone slept at her parents' house in Cobble Hill Friday night and went to work Saturday at IKEA. She then came home to her parents before investigators say she took a bus home to Crown Heights Saturday night, texting her roommate that she was on her way. However, police say she never made it.
Malone is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue sneakers, a gray sweatshirt and gray jeans. She has a tattoo on her hand. Her parents became alarmed when she didn't show up for work on Sunday and didn't call in, either. Sources say she has never missed a day of work.
"We're trying to be strong," said Paula Manning, Malone's mother. "You may see a brave front right now, but inside, we're concerned, we're worried. We're parents. We don't know where our daughter is. We don't know if she's out there crying for help. We don't know if she's being held against their will. We don't know anything. As parents, we just want our daughter home safely.
The family said the New York City Police Department told them they have 40 officers working on the case.
