State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) met with Shenendehowa Central School District representatives on March 11th in Albany and discussed education issues and school funding. At the meeting, Senator Farley also had the pleasure of honoring Dr. L. Oliver Robinson as the New York State Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Robinson received the award from the New York State Council of School Superintendents and Senator Farley presented him with a Senate Citation recognizing the honor. At Shenendehowa, Dr. Robinson's "Commitment to Excellence" resulted in a Regents graduation rate of over 90 percent, and all K-8 schools exceeding annual yearly progress benchmarks. Also representing Shenendehowa at the meeting were Gary DiLallo, Rick Mincher and John Phelan.
