Senator Jack Martins thanked Roslyn resident and President of Kokomo Trading Company, Jason Bash, for his generous donation of two palm trees to the East Hills park at a recent installation ceremony. As a philanthropist and local business owner, Mr. Bash has been donating trees throughout the North Shore in an effort as he says, “To help rebuild Long Island one tree at a time” nine months after Hurricane Sandy. The hardy “Windmill” palms are commonly used now in northern states since they can thrive in both extreme hot and cold temperatures.
