The Senate Standing Committee on Education, under the leadership of Chairman, Senator John Flanagan, held another hearing in its series on the Regents Reform Agenda, this time in New York City.
Much of the testimony concerning the hearing focused on the Common Core standards that were implemented and rolled out by the Commission of Education. As a member of the education committee, Senator Martins attended the hearing. Senator Martins has been listening to constituents and has expressed his as well as their concerns over the implementation of the Common Core.
