Senator Jack M. Martins joined with the Hickville Water District Board of Water Commissioners for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of renovations of Plant #6 on Kuhl Avenue. This renovation is part of the district’s major capital investment plan to improve services for local residents and businesses. The District has provided Service to Hicksville community for over 92 years. Tests several years ago showed that nitrate levels in wells were rising. This plant has the capability to remove excess nitrates in the water supply. Construction on facility started in 2011 and came in under budget.
