SENATOR MARTINS JOINS WESTBURY IN WELCOMING THE SPACE

Senator Jack M. Martins joined with Village of Westbury Mayor Peter Cavallaro, members of the Village of Westbury Board of Trustees, elected officials and community members in welcoming The Space to the Village of Westbury.
The Space at Westbury now occupies the former location of hte Westbury Movie Theater, which first opened its doors in 1927. The Space at Westbury has preserved the village history while injecting a shot of energy into the community's downtown area as a performing arts center. Cyrus Hakakian invested nearly $10 million into The Space and, with the cooperation of the village and the community, it is a welcomed addition to the downtown.
Senator Martins joined with other elected officials in congratulating the community and the developers as well as Mayor Cavallaro and the Board of Trustees for this revitalization effort. For more on The Space at Westbury, visit www.thespacewestbury.com.
