Eastman Business Park Community Update

I was honored to join Lt. Governor Duffy and other local leaders at today's Eastman Business Park community update where we announced an agreement between New York State and Kodak. This agreement will help attract more businesses and bring more jobs to our community, and features three major components -

  • Establishes a $49 million Environmental Trust Fund that will protect current and future purchasers from historic liabilities
  • Takes another step towards authorizing Recycled Energy Development in assuming ownership and operating responsibilities for all EBP utilities
  • Re-affirms Kodak's commitment to maintaining operations in Eastman Business Park

Eastman Business Park is unlike any other industrial park in the nation. The effect that this agreement will have on our community goes beyond business inside EBP, it will have a positive effect on the entire Rochester region. This is a great example of the public and private sector working together for the betterment of our community.
