Libraries Thank Senator LaValle for State Aid

Kenneth P. LaValle

July 11, 2013

Officials gathered in the new Children’s Addition of the East Hampton Library to publicly thank local legislators for their successful efforts on behalf of our local libraries (including the East Hampton Library, Sag Harbor’s John Jermain Memorial Library and the Shelter Island Public Library) to win substantial new grants from the New York State Public Library Construction Grants program.

The grants awarded to the three local libraries combined, total more than $600,00 (of the $900,000 in NYS Construction Grant money awarded to Suffolk County libraries this year.)

"Our public libraries are invaluable community resources that deserve to have their mission supported in every way possible," Senator LaValle said.
