Senator Lee Zeldin Honors East Patchogue Veteran Eric Carver In Albany

Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I- Shirley) recently honored Master Sergeant (MSgt.) Eric Carver of East Patchogue, as his 2013 inductee to the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was created to honor and recognize outstanding veterans from the Empire State who have distinguished themselves both in military and civilian life.
In April 2013, MSgt. Carver completed his 27th year of combined U.S. Air Force service between active duty service and Air National Guard service.
MSgt. Carver has deployed to the following locations: Turkey, three times in support of Operation Provide Comfort II (OPC II, 1x) and Operation Northern Watch (ONW, 2x); Kuwait, three times in support of Operation Southern Watch (OSW); Afghanistan, two times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF); Iraq, one time in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF); and most recently returning from a four month deployment to Djibouti in the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
On December 27, 2012, while he was serving in Djibouti Horn of Africa, MSgt. Carver’s 10th deployment, his East Patchogue home was burglarized, set on fire and his pick-up truck was stolen. The home was completely destroyed, but his friends and neighbors rallied together to assist in helping raise funds to assist in putting his home back together.
