Senator Lee Zeldin (R, C, I—Shirley) stopped by the Tangier Smith Elementary School Friday to take part in their Veterans Day Celebration.
A veteran himself and current Major in the Army Reserves, Senator Zeldin stood alongside some of our nation’s finest as they were presented with ‘thank you cards’ from the students for their dedicated service to our country.
“I was honored to take part in Friday’s celebration with fellow veterans and servicemembers,” said senator Zeldin. “I appreciate any opportunity we have to share with children our experiences and foster an understanding for the importance of fighting for our American values. I thank the school for organizing such a thoughtful event and for taking the time to instill in their students an appreciation for what we do.”
