Senator Smith Meets With Students From York College and Queens College

(ALBANY)– On Tuesday March 12, 2013 Senator Malcolm Smith (D-St. Albans) met with students from York College and Queens College, who had traveled to Albany to lobby for more funding for their schools, both of which are part of the City Uni...versity of New York (CUNY). During their visit with Smith, the lawmaker gave them a tour of his office and posed for pictures with them. He also showed them a budget item he put forth to maintain capital for CUNY. “These students are setting a positive example for their fellow youth by taking an interest in their school and their city,” Smith said. “It was a pleasure meeting with them and showing them a snapshot of how government works.”See More
