Baseball Fans Encouraged to Bring Canned Goods for Local Food Pantries or Drop Donations Off at Senator’s District Office
New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio is asking the community to rally behind the Geneva Twins while also helping those in need by supporting localfood banks.
Senator Nozzolio is sponsoring a free night of baseball for all those wishing to attend “Senator Mike Nozzolio Community Baseball Night” at McDonough Park in Geneva. Admittance to the games is free for everyone in attendance.
“There is no better way to help our local food pantries replenish much needed supplies than with an all-American baseball game,” said Senator Mike Nozzolio. “It is a pleasure for me to sponsor and host fun, family-oriented evenings of baseball and I look forward to joining everyone in cheering the Geneva Twins on to victory.”
Senator Nozzolio is encouraging all those who attend to bring a nonperishable grocery item to help restock the food banks that serve our local residents in need.
In addition, Senator Nozzolio will be collecting donations of nonperishable food and grocery items at his Seneca Falls District Office, located at 119 Fall Street in Seneca Falls, from now until the end of July.
The Geneva Twins at will take on the Olean Oilers at 5pm on Thursday, July 11th. McDonough Park is located at 195 Lyceum Street in Geneva. All general admission tickets to the game are free.
Donations may include nonperishable canned goods, paper products, soap, shampoo, baby food and diapers and will help to replenish these badly needed supplies among our local food banks.
