Senator Nozzolio speaks at the Moravia VFW Post 7127 Veterans Day Dinner

Moravia- Senator Mike Nozzolio was recently the guest speaker for the VFW Post 7127 Veterans Day dinner where he honored our Nation’s veterans and paid tribute to their service. Senator Nozzolio had the privilege of meeting Stanley Hobart, a World War II veteran who began his Navy career at Sampson Naval Base in Romulus. The Naval Base is now the home of the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery where over 160 veterans and their spouses are laid to rest. Recently, Senator Mike Nozzolio announced that he has secured $150,000 in State funding for the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery. This funding will be used to complete the next stage of renovations and finish work on the chapel. The chapel is a restored building that served as a firehouse on the original Naval Base.
