FLUSHING, NY – State Senator Toby Stavisky, along with Members of the Assembly Ron Kim and Edward Braunstein, and City Councilman Peter Koo, met with representatives from China’s Nanjing Province who visited Flushing to promote next year’s Youth Olympic Games being held in Nanjing.
“It was a pleasure meeting with the representatives from Nanjing,” said Senator Stavisky. “I learned a great deal about next year’s Summer Olympic Youth Games and I hope to see some of Queens’ young athletes competing.”
Nanjing is hosting next year’s Summer Youth Olympic Games, which area held in even, non-Summer Olympic years. The inaugural 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore saw more than 3500 athletes compete.
