A known fighter for the environment, Senator Stewart-Cousins joined Village of Scarsdale Mayor Steves and friends at the Friends of the Scarsdale Parks Annual Spring Festival and Heritage Tree Project on Sunday, June 8th to recognize the environmental benefits and beauty of parks around Scarsdale, as well as inform residents how native trees and shrubs can be incorporated in their own yards and gardens. The Friends of Scarsdale Park is a non-profit organization "dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the numerous parks and open spaces located throughout the Village of Scarsdale since it was founded in 1957".
