(White Plains - September 28th) A great crowd at Sunday's Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease in White Plains, with a group of Muslim women who were participating, and the Senator's friends and partners in government, Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Assemblyman David Buchwald. The Alzheimer's Association of the Hudson Valley is the resource for families and caregivers to learn more including these statistics: more than 5 million Americans are living with the disease; every 67 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's and Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.
