Senator Hoylman stood with members of Chelsea’s Engine 3 and Ladder 12 as the 2014 Father Mychal Judge Walk of Remembrance stopped on West 19th Street and Seventh Avenue, down the street from the firehouse. Father Mychal Judge served as a chaplain to the New York City Fire Department and was the first recorded victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The annual Walk of Remembrance honors him and other heroes of FDNY and New York Police Department who lost their lives that day.
