Nick Gwiazdowski, NCAA Champion Wrestler

This is Nick Gwiazdowski and his parents, who are form my hometown of Delanson. As a wrestler at Duanesburg HS, Nick was a two- time State Champion, and posted a 50-0 record in his senior season.

In his first year in college, Nick compiled a 30-9 record at Binghamton,  won the 2012 Colonial Athletic Association Conference Tournament and was named the 2012 conference’s Rookie of the Year.

This year he attended North Carolina State, where he really shined.

He was the Atlantic Coast Conference Champion and then beat the two-time defending champion to become the NCAA champion in his weight class.

Just as impressive – While he was compiling these amazing accomplishments, Nick was also an outstanding student -- he was on the honor roll while wrestling for Duanesburg in high school, and was named to the All-Academic Team  by the National Wrestling Coaches Association at both Binghamton and North Carolina State.
