Senator Valesky Wears White Ribbon to Raise Awareness about Domestic Violence

April 2, 2014

Senator David Valesky, with Senator John DeFrancisco, wears a white ribbon in support of Vera House and its campaign to raise awareness about domestic and sexual abuse.
The White Ribbon Campaign, held from March 28 - April 6, is led by men and encourages all members of the community - men and women, young and old - to join them in their efforts. This male leadership helps to acknowledge the important contributions men have made to this effort and invites others to take a role. The white ribbon is a statement that the wearer will not commit, condone, or remain silent about domestic or sexual violence.
