Senator Farley Participates in Mohawk Landing Grand Opening

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) had the pleasure of participating in the grand opening of the renovated Mohawk Landing Park on May 9th in Rexford, a hamlet of the Town of Clifton Park. The park gives people numerous opportunities to enjoy the outdoors such as kayaking, boating, fishing and walking on nearby trails.

Mohawk Landing, along with several other local parks, will be participating in Clifton Park’s Nature & Open Space Day on May 17th. The day includes guided tours at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Other parks include Ushers State Forest, North Woods Nature Preserve, Kinns Road Park, Dwaas Kill Nature Preserve, Veterans Memorial Park, Mooney Carrese Forest, Garnsey Park and Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve on Riverview Road at Van Vranken Road. Also on hand for the grand opening were representatives from the Town of Clifton Park, State Legislature, Thruway Authority and the Town's Open Space Committee. They included Town of Clifton Park with Supervisor Phil Barrett, Councilwoman Amy Standaert, Assemblyman Jim Tedisco, President of the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County Pete Bardunias, Brian Stratton from the Canal Corporation, Open Spaces Committee Co-Chair Dave Miller, Revierview Orchards’ Isabelle Prescott, and Frank Berlin.
