Senator DeFrancisco Participates in Groundbreaking Ceremony for INFICON's Building Expansion in East Syracuse

On September 23, 2014, INFICON, Inc. broke ground on the planned expansion of its manufacturing operations in East Syracuse. State Senator John A. DeFrancisco joined other elected officials and community and business leaders for the ceremony, and he spoke about the signicance of the project during the groundbreaking ceremony.
INFICON, a producer of sensor technologies, will invest $20 million to build an addition to its existing facility, resulting in the creation of 40 new high-paying jobs and the retention of 240 existing jobs. New York State is providing INFICON with a $1 million grant.
