Senator John A. DeFrancisco Recognizes Diane Kuppermann as His 2014 Women of Distinction Award Recipient

Senator John A. DeFrancisco honored Diane Kuppermann with the 2014 “Women of Distinction” award during a ceremony at the Legislative Office Building in Albany on May 13, 2014. 

Diane Kuppermann, a resident of Fayetteville, New York, has devoted most of her professional life to providing hope, strength and joy to children battling illnesses in the Central New York community.  For the past 22 years, she has served as the President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Central New York, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.  Under Diane’s leadership, the organization has expanded programs and services, increased fundraising events, and fulfilled the wishes of nearly 1500 local children.  

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Diane Kuppermann has remained active in a variety of volunteer, community-related activities.
