Senator Bonacic spoke at the groundbreaking of a new, two-story, 48 million dollar science building on the campus of SUNY New Paltz on Friday, September 29, 2014. This 77,000 square foot facility will house a variety of science departments including the physics, geography and computer science offices. It features state of the art labs and classrooms, and will address the space shortage that has arisen due to the growth in the college’s STEM majors (science, technology, engineering and math.) "I was pleased to be able to help the SUNY New Paltz obtain this funding to create this very impressive addition to the college," said Senator Bonacic, "SUNY New Paltz is truly a jewel in the SUNY system, and this new building will make the college even more attractive for students."
