October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While great strides have been made in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer, the fight against this deadly disease is far from over. I encourage all women to consult with their health care providers to learn more about the disease and develop an appropriate plan for breast cancer screening.
I am pleased to work with and support many local cancer research and advocacy organizations, including the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, and am truly humbled to have recently received the BCCR's Advocacy Spirit Award at their annual gala.
