July 30, 2014
Sen. Krueger and a large group of East Side and Manhattan elected officials sent this reply letter to the state Dept. of Environmental Conservation and the city Dept. of Sanitation, reiterating their concerns that the planned 91st Street Marine Transfer Station's design is deeply flawed in light of the new post-Sandy floodplain maps and its siting on the East River, and demanding a public hearing on the station's permit renewal in light of the facility's design changes and the changes in likely local flooding conditions.
