Webster- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently discussed issues relating to Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1) with Diane Cameron, a representative for the Western New York State Alpha-1 Support Group. Alpha-1 is one of the most common but serious hereditary disorders in the world and can result in life-threatening liver disease in children and adults or in lung disease in adults. Senator Nozzolio was successful in proclaiming November 2013 as Alpha-1 awareness month in the New York State Senate.
