Sheila Meegan is a lifelong resident of West Seneca, who has devoted countless hours to her community throughout her life. Ms. Meegan has been involved with a number of community organizations including the West Seneca Parent Teacher Organization, West Seneca Youth Hockey, Queen of Heaven Carnival, Relay for Life and The United Way, to name a few! Ms. Meegan was also a dedicated Catholic Catechist at Queen of Heaven and St. John Vianney Parishes for 23 years.
Ms. Meegan was elected West Seneca Town Councilwoman in 2007 and took office in 2008;in November 2011, she was elected West Seneca Town Supervisor and took offi ce in 2012. While in office, Ms. Meegan, through hard work and dedication, brought to the forefront many new and exciting projects. These include the West Seneca Recreation Commission, a complete overhaul of the West Seneca Town Hall Police expansion and the continuing upgrade to the Senior Citizen Center.
Throughout her life, Ms. Meegan has been a strong supporter of the armed forces. Her leadership and foresight led her to the idea of commemorating veterans within West Seneca. As a Councilwoman in 2010, Ms. Meegan collaborated with the West Seneca Veterans Committee on a design for the newly named Veterans Memorial Park. The Park is a tribute to all veterans, Gold Star Mothers, and the United States military, and continues to expand each year.
Ms. Meegan is truly committed to representing the citizens of West Seneca, doing a job she truly loves and being proactive in providing the best services to the residents and businesses in the most cost eff ective way in the community she calls home.
She is married to Michael, and they have two sons, Michael and Timothy.
