APPLICANTS FOR THIS POSITION MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH.

Letters of application are presently being accepted for the position of:

1 Teacher Assistant – ESL                                                      5 hours per day

OAK PARK ELEMENTARY                                               As  per salary agreement

N.B.  Should the applicant not be currently serving as a permanent teacher assistant in

          the district, the applicant MUST (within 40 days of employment):

1)      take and PASS the NYSATAS test;

2)      complete the Child Abuse, School Violence Prevention and DASA workshops;

3)      apply for NYS teacher assistant certification.

The successful non-certified applicant (hereby known as “Interim TA” can not

receive permanent status (i.e. will not receive benefits) until the district has a

copy of the NYSATAS results indicating that the applicant has passed the test,

taken the Child Abuse, School Violence Prevention and DASA workshops, and applied for Teacher Assistant certification.
