January 28, 2014
Albany, NY— Senator Toby Ann Stavisky (D-Flushing) welcomed a delegation of New York City Council Members to her office in Albany to discuss collaboration between the city and the state on issues such as taxation, universal pre-K and the minimum wage.
“The close working relationship between the City Council and the state Legislature is part of the reason why we’ve been able to pass legislation that makes New York a safer and healthier place to live. I congratulate each of the members on their re-election and look forward to serving New Yorkers by upholding immigrant’s rights, growing access to a quality education and securing fair pay,” said Senator Stavisky.
