State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I – Schenectady) had the pleasure of promoting Blue Friday with his friends Sean McMaster and Richie Phillips at 107.7 WGNA Radio Station this morning.
"The first year we started doing this was in 2005, and I worked with radio station WGNA in creating this official State day to salute fallen law enforcement officers, and to support the families of fallen officers," Senator Farley said.
This year, Blue Friday will be held on Friday, April 24th. WGNA will be selling Blue Carnations for a $5 donation along with other items at various locations and proceeds will go to Blue Friday of New York.
Blue Friday New York is a nonprofit organization that helps survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty by serving as a clearinghouse for benefits, information, and resources.
