Senator Hamilton serves as panelist on Mitchell-Lama Task Force Legislative Summit at Brooklyn Borough Hall

(Brooklyn - March 13, 2015) Senator Hamilton served as a panelist at the Mitchell-Lama Task Force Legislative Summit at Brooklyn Borough Hall last night. Along with other housing policy experts on the panel, New York City Council Member Jumaane Williams served as moderator. 

Senator Hamilton highlighted the importance of protecting the long-term rights of Mitchell-Lama residents and keeping Mitchell-Lama affordable. Senator Hamilton also underscored the need for both affordable housing and an affordable ownership component -- permitting prospective owners to build wealth and pass on an asset to children.
