Senator Bonacic recently presented Michael P. Cody, a U.S. Army Veteran from the Town of Wallkill with a Purple Heart Flag today, at the Purple Heart Memorial Park in the Town of Wallkill. Cody, an Army Veteran who was wounded in combat during the Vietnam War, was awarded a Purple Heart for his meritorious service in that conflict. Earlier this year, Michael Cody was honored as Senator Bonacic’s 2015 NY Senate Veteran’s Hall of Fame nominee. He joined other veterans at a ceremony in Albany, that honored not only his service in the armed forces, but his service to other veterans in his local community.
Senator Bonacic is joined by chapter members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, all of whom are Purple Heart recipients.
