New York State Senator Kathy Marchione takes Oath of Office During New Year's Day Swearing-In Ceremony at the Rensselaer County Courthouse

Senator Marchione was overwhelmingly re-elected this fall to her second, two-year term and will continue representing the 43rd Senate District, which includes parts of Rensselaer, Saratoga and Washington Counties, and all of Columbia County.
Also sworn-in during today's ceremony were New York State Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin; Rensselaer County District Attorney Joel Abelove; Troy City Court Judge Jill Kehn; Schodack Town Justice Bruce Wagner; and Grafton Town Councilwoman Ingrid Gundrum.
During today's swearing-in ceremony, Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen Jimino offered Introductory Remarks, Chair of the Rensselaer County Legislature Martin Reid delivered the Invocation and Moment of Silence for deceased Judge John T. Casey, and Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
