Senator Venditto Holds Substance Abuse Education Awareness Program in Massapequa

New York State Senator Michael Venditto (R, C, I- Massapequa), partnered with the Massapequa School District and Nassau County Legislator James Kennedy, recently to host a presentation for Middle School parents from Nassau County Detective Pamela Stark on substance abuse education awareness called “Opiate Evolution to the Perfect Storm". Senator Venditto is partnering with our local police agencies, schools and community groups to raise awareness and bring together children, parents, doctors and other officials to facilitate recovery for those in need.
Senator Venditto, also serve as a member on the bipartisan Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction. Working through the Task Force he delivered over $8.8 Million for statewide treatment and recovery services in this year’s State Budget.
