Massapequa, NY- Senator Michael Venditto (R, C, I- Massapequa) recently attended an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Anthony Tesoriero of Troop 339 from Massapequa for attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
For his Eagle Scout project, Anthony collected over three hundred school supplies to benefit children in need. Anthony was able to partner with the Long Island Cares, a non-profit, to help distribute the supplies.
Senator Venditto congratulated Anthony on his achievement at the Court of Honor which was held on January 9th at the Massapequa Park Village Hall.
The rank of Eagle Scout is the Boy Scouts of America's highest honor and is achieved by less than 3% of Boy Scouts nationwide.
